Research lines
Three main strands of research
Code Development
Digging deeper into preliterate creations of code-making, by probing into much earlier phases of symbolic creation and graphic evolution in areas where scripts are originally created.
Symbolic Systems
Testing how writing systems can be created from zero today, running the first-ever suite of experiments in contexts where participants will develop a set of signs in multi-tiered sociolinguistic contexts.
Early Scripts
Exploring primary inventions of writing, including potential cases. How often writing was invented in the history of humankind?
